‘Bobrisky only sought assistance to pay for VIP section in prison’ – Falz tells VeryDarkMan

Famous Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana professionally known as Falz, has stated that Bobrisky only contacted him for financial support while in prison.

News reports that Bobrisky was jailed for three months after pleading guilty to naira mutilation following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

He was released on 5th August, 2024.

On Tuesday 24th September, 2024, a popular self acclaimed activist and social critic, Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan leaked Bobrisky’s alleged voice recording.

Bobrisky in the now controversial audio claimed that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, and his son, Falz, helped to get the EFCC to drop money laundering charges against him, while in prison.

Reacting to outrage that followed the revelation, Falz, through his lawyers, Falana &Falana’s Chambers, denied initiating conversation with Bobrisky while he was in prison.

He stated that the cross dresser only contacted him to seek financial assistance of N3 million to pay some officials to be permitted to stay in the VIP section of the Correctional Centre.

In a now viral letter on social media, Falz also accused VeryDarkMan of publishing a careless statement containing multiple allegations against his person without contacting him.
