Popular crossdresser Bobrisky, whose real name is Okuneye Idris, has reportedly fallen ill while in police custody at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.
After spending the night in a police cell, Bobrisky was rushed to the Falomo Police Hospital for medical attention due to complaints of breast pain.
According to a source, Bobrisky was transferred from the FCID to the hospital for treatment. The source mentioned that Bobrisky was transported to the hospital in an ambulance with the plate number LND 339L, wearing a black gown, covering his face with a shawl.
Bobrisky was taken into custody by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Monday night following his arrest at the Seme border in Lagos while allegedly attempting to leave the country.
Investigations are ongoing, and there is a possibility that he may remain in detention as detectives continue to look into the circumstances surrounding his arrest. The FCID is expected to secure a remand order for his continued detention, while a statement regarding his situation is anticipated from the FCID later today.
NIS spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest, labeling him as “a person of interest.” Udo explained that the NIS intercepted Bobrisky at the Seme border as part of their efforts to enhance border security in Nigeria.
