Lagos , Nigeria: Former Big Brother Naija stars Liquorose and Prince Enwerem emerged as the Best Dressed Female and Male, respectively, during the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) Cultural Day celebration, held on Friday at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
The duo captivated audiences with their striking traditional ensembles that paid homage to Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. Liquorose dazzled in a beaded outfit adorned with coral accessories and a statement headpiece, while Prince—former Mr. Nigeria—opted for a majestic embroidered look, accentuated with vintage accessories that echoed his royal roots.
Other standout fashion moments came from reality TV personalities Neo and Venita Akpofure, who also embraced Afrocentric themes. However, it was Liquorose and Prince who ultimately secured the top style accolades, each receiving a N1 million cash prize courtesy of Goldberg.
The Cultural Day marks a highlight in the week-long AMVCA festivities, which will culminate in the main awards ceremony, set to air live across all Africa Magic channels.
Nominations for the 11th AMVCA edition—announced on March 23—recognize excellence in film, television, and digital media released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Leading contenders include Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, all of which received multiple nominations in categories such as Best Movie and Best Director.
In the acting categories, nominees for Best Lead Actor include Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising). Best Lead Actress nominees feature Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Uche Montana (Thinline).
