Lagos, Nigeria — Dynamic and trendy Big Brother Naija season 10 contestant Kayi Kunmi has reflected on his stay in the house, particularly regarding his relationship with fellow housemate Isabella.
In an open chat with select reporters post-eviction, Kayi declared, “I harbor no regrets about my relationship with Isabella.”
He stressed that being authentic to himself outweighed public opinion. Yet, he acknowledged that Isabella’s strong character influenced how others interacted with him, with some steering clear to avoid conflict with her.
Kayi also admitted deciding to accept Thelma’s invitation as a house guest, confessing, “I didn’t foresee the impact this would have on my bond with Isabella. Thelma encouraged me to be more outgoing, but I did apologize to Isabella afterward.”
At one point, Kayi considered leaving voluntarily due to the stress and drama surrounding his relationships, but friend Faith urged him to endure.
Looking back, Kayi said he started cautiously but eventually embraced his real self. “I regret not speaking up more and presenting myself fully,” he revealed.
Despite his early exit, Kayi expressed gratitude for the platform and committed to expanding his fashion label and client base.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity BBNaija gave me,” he said. “It taught me the importance of being true to oneself despite scrutiny.”
