Barcelona, Chelsea, Lyon, PSG Secure Spots in UEFA Women’s League Semi-Finals

The UEFA Women’s Champions League has seen Barcelona, Chelsea, Lyon, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) emerge as the contenders for the semi-final stage.

In the upcoming fixtures slated for the final weekends of April, Barcelona is set to square off against Chelsea, while Lyon will go head-to-head with PSG.

As announced by UEFA on its official website, the ultimate goal for these four teams is to clinch a spot in the final, scheduled for May 25th in Bilbao.

Chelsea secured their spot in the semi-finals after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Ajax, ultimately advancing with a commanding 4-1 aggregate scoreline following their 3-0 victory in the first leg held in Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmatí played a pivotal role in guiding her team to their sixth consecutive Women’s Champions League semi-final appearance. Barcelona’s 3-1 triumph over Brann cemented their place in the last four, where they will face a formidable challenge from Chelsea. Barcelona’s defense of their title saw them progress with a 5-2 aggregate victory, having won the first leg 2-1 in Norway.

In an all-French showdown, PSG secured their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Häcken 3-0, consolidating their 2-1 first-leg victory and setting up an intriguing clash against Lyon.
