The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) has successfully retained its certification from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), reaffirming its commitment to global aviation training standards.
Acting Rector of NCAT, Mr. Joseph Imalighwe, announced the achievement during an interview in Lagos, emphasizing that the recertification underscores the college’s adherence to international best practices. He expressed pride in the institution’s progress, particularly its shift from traditional to digital training methods.
“We are proud of this milestone, which highlights our continuous efforts to maintain excellence in aviation training,” Imalighwe stated.
He also noted that NCAT is strengthening its partnerships with other training institutions and universities to further enhance its curriculum, ensuring it remains competitive and comprehensive.
Imalighwe appealed to the federal government for increased funding to support ongoing capital projects and sustain NCAT’s recognition as an ICAO TrainAir Plus Training Centre of Excellence.
