New York City, USA — Emergency officials in New York have launched an investigation following the crash of a helicopter into the Hudson River on Thursday afternoon.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) confirmed the incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. local time, prompting a swift emergency response and the deployment of rescue teams to the crash site.
In a public advisory, the NYPD stated: “Due to a helicopter crash in the Hudson River, in the vicinity of the West Side Highway and Spring Street, expect emergency vehicles and traffic delays in the surrounding areas.”
