Popular Yoruba actress, Ramota Adetu, widely known as Aunty Ramota, has issued a heartfelt appeal to Nigerians, revealing that she is currently homeless and facing severe financial challenges. The actress, known for her petite stature and comedic talent, took to social media to voice her distress and seek support from compassionate Nigerians.
In a widely circulated video, Aunty Ramota disclosed that she has been left without a stable home after the person she was living with recently got married. According to her, the woman’s husband was uncomfortable with her continued presence in their home, forcing her to vacate. This unexpected turn left the actress, who has featured in several Yoruba movies, including Kunle Afolayan’s acclaimed Anikulapo series, without a place to stay.
Her struggles do not end there. Aunty Ramota also alleged that her management team misappropriated her earnings and deleted her social media accounts, thereby cutting her off from her fanbase and primary source of income. She recounted working tirelessly, only to realize that her management was, in her words, “cheating me because they thought I wouldn’t know how much we were really making.”
“I am stranded without accommodation,” she shared emotionally. “The man who was helping me build my house also had to stop due to personal issues. Now, I don’t even have enough money to rent a place.”
Expressing her desire for stability, the actress noted that someone had offered to rent accommodation for her, but she is holding out hope to complete construction on her own home. “I want to finish building my house, even if it’s just one room, so I can finally have a place to call my own.”
Aunty Ramota’s plea has sparked discussions on social media, with many fans and supporters calling for assistance to help the beloved actress secure a permanent home.
