Ancelotti Hints at Possible Exit from Club World Cup Duty

Madrid, Spain  — Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has expressed uncertainty over his participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, suggesting he may not lead the team to the tournament.

This indication was revealed during a press briefing ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga fixture against Celta Vigo, where the Italian coach maintained that his future beyond the current season remains undecided.

“I hold deep affection for this club, my players, and the fans,” Ancelotti remarked. “But as for my future, I will address that on May 25th.”

Although his current contract is expected to run through the conclusion of the La Liga campaign, sources cited by 90min suggest that Ancelotti could depart before the Club World Cup kicks off.

Reflecting on his journey with Real Madrid, he added, “I’ve never had conflicts in my six years here, and I don’t expect that to change — not even on my final day, whenever that may be.”

Ancelotti described the current season as particularly demanding professionally, despite its promising outset. Yet, with five league matches remaining, the manager remains optimistic.

“We’ve faced significant challenges, but if we win the remaining games, the season could still end on a high,” he affirmed. “What we must not do is surrender.”
