AMVCA 2024 Nominees and winners Revealed at Glittering Event

The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) commenced its much-anticipated 10th edition at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, showcasing the crème de la crème of talent from Nigeria and across the African continent. As the event unfolded, a select group of winners were already unveiled, setting the stage for an evening of glamour and celebration.

Veteran presenter IK Osakioduwa lent his seasoned charm to the occasion as the host, infusing the event with his trademark style and flair. The festivities kicked off with a vibrant ‘Cultural Day’, featuring captivating musical performances and special cultural presentations. The red carpet witnessed a parade of dazzling fashion statements from entertainment luminaries such as Toke Makinwa, Uti Nwachukwu, and BBN reality stars Neo and Venita, alongside other notable celebrities.

A total of 25 categories will determine the eventual winners, comprising 16 non-voting and nine audience voting categories, as well as two prestigious recognition awards. Following the main event, attendees are invited to revel in the after-party, where an array of outfit changes will showcase the diverse and exquisite tastes of Nollywood’s brightest stars. The AMVCA 2024 promises to be an unforgettable celebration of African talent and creativity, marking yet another milestone in the annals of Nollywood history.

Among the esteemed categories, the 10th AMVCA will shine a spotlight on the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards. Key categories include Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Movie, and Best Director, among others.
