Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has initiated discussions to sign Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface as part of their squad reinforcement strategy.
According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr is seeking to replace Brazilian forward Talisca, who recently joined Turkish club Fenerbahce.
Romano disclosed via his X account, “Al Nassr has officially opened talks for Victor Boniface as their new striker. Negotiations are ongoing with Bayer Leverkusen for the Nigerian forward to replace Talisca. Another option being considered is Jhon Durán, but Aston Villa is reluctant to release him.”
The 23-year-old Boniface recently extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, binding him to the Bundesliga giants until 2029. The new deal has positioned him among the club’s highest earners.
Leverkusen, however, is reportedly unwilling to part ways with their star striker for less than €50 million, reflecting his growing value in European football.
Boniface’s Growing Profile
Before joining Leverkusen, Boniface showcased his talent with Union Saint-Gilloise, earning him widespread recognition. His impressive performances have caught the attention of top clubs, with Al Nassr now eager to secure his services.
As talks progress, all eyes remain on whether the Saudi club can meet Leverkusen’s valuation and bring Boniface to the Middle East.
