Nigeria football legend Segun Odegbami has predicted that the Super Eagles’ final group game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will be “a difficult game”.
The Super Eagles will take on Guinea-Bissau on Monday night and are hoping to finish top of Group A. Odegbami, who won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 1980, said that the game will be “a big test” for the team and that “anything can happen”.
He stressed the importance of the team remaining focused and playing with “total concentration” in order to get the result they need.

Odegbami, who won the AFCON with Nigeria in 1980, cautioned the players not to underestimate their opponents, warning that “it’s going to be a difficult match”.
He told the players to focus on doing their best and not to be distracted by the pressure of expectations, saying that the fans will be with them every step of the way. Odegbami’s visit served as a timely boost to the team’s morale, and the players were grateful for his words of encouragement and support.
