Kelechi Iheanacho, a Nigerian international and former Manchester City player , has arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, ahead of the team’s upcoming international friendly match.
His arrival had been delayed due to a muscle injury he sustained while playing for Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship. The head coach, Jose Peseiro, was pleased to see Iheanacho arrive safe and sound. It is believed that the 27-year-old will bring a valuable contribution to the team, and fans are eagerly awaiting his performance.
According to the Super Eagles’ head coach, Jose Peseiro, Kelechi Iheanacho arrived in Abidjan on Saturday morning at 4 am, after recovering from a muscle injury. Iheanacho’s arrival was delayed because he had to complete his treatment with Leicester City.
The Super Eagles’ medical team assured the coach that Iheanacho is fully recovered and ready to play. Iheanacho is expected to participate in the team’s final training session on Saturday, ahead of their opening match against Equatorial Guinea at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium.
