In line with the Federal Government’s directive to meter electricity consumers, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has intensified efforts to distribute meters to unmetered customers to ensure accurate and fair billing.
According to a statement by AEDC’s Acting Managing Director, Mr. Victor Ojelabi, this initiative aims to resolve ongoing complaints from electricity consumers regarding arbitrary charges under estimated billing.
Mr. Ojelabi highlighted that AEDC is addressing challenges that have led to poor electricity supply, particularly by enhancing power delivery within the company’s catchment area. He emphasized that to ensure effective service delivery, there must be collaboration among all stakeholders to provide sustainable energy for both domestic and industrial use, which is crucial for the growth of the nation’s economy.
