Milan, Italy — AC Milan’s sporting director, Geoffrey Moncada, has dismissed speculations about Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze leaving the club this season.
Recent reports linked Chukwueze with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, following earlier interest from Premier League outfit Fulham on transfer deadline day. However, Fulham opted for Brazilian winger Willian instead.
Addressing the speculation, Moncada affirmed that Chukwueze remains an integral part of AC Milan’s squad and will not be leaving in the current campaign.
“Chukwueze is staying with us. He provides another valuable option on the right, and we are happy with him,” Moncada told Sport Mediaset.
Since joining the club, the 24-year-old winger has featured in 19 matches, contributing two goals and two assists.
