Manchester, England — Manchester City has officially signed Abdukodir Khusanov from French club RC Lens, making history as the first Uzbek player to feature in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old center-back has agreed to a four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2029. The transfer fee is reported to exceed €40 million.
Khusanov’s arrival marks a significant milestone for Uzbek football as he becomes the nation’s first representative in England’s top-flight league.
