Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, alongside the Speaker of the Yobe House of Assembly, Hon. Ciroma Buba Mashio, Senator Mohammed Ibrahim Bomoi representing Zone B, and a host of dignitaries, converged yesterday to offer funeral prayers for the late Emir of Tikau, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Ibn Grema, at the Emir’s palace in Sabon Garin Nangere.
Reflecting on the passing of the first-class emir, Governor Buni expressed profound sorrow, describing it as a significant loss to the emirate, the state, and the nation at large. He eulogized the late emir for his exemplary leadership, characterized by wisdom, fairness, and unwavering dedication to the welfare and development of Tikau Emirate.
“He was a peace-loving leader, fair and just to all, objective and committed to the interest of his people and the development of Tikau Emirate,” Governor Buni remarked.
Offering prayers for the repose of the late emir’s soul, Governor Buni implored the Almighty to grant him eternal rest in Aljanna firdaus and provide solace to his bereaved family and the people of the emirate during this trying period.
The Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire emirate, acknowledging the profound impact of the late emir’s legacy.
The funeral prayer witnessed the presence of National Assembly members, including Hon. Lawan Shettima Ali and Hon. Tijjani Zanna Zakariya, as well as the APC state chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, members of the state assembly, commissioners, representatives from the business community, and numerous attendees from both within and outside the state.
In their supplications, the dignitaries beseeched Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late emir and grant him eternal peace in the Hereafter.
