The Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly apprehended Mukaila Lamidi, widely known as “Auxilliary,” on Tuesday. Auxiliary served as the embattled chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System.
According to information from a reliable government source speaking to Leadership, the arrest was carried out by DSS operatives on Tuesday afternoon. However, the specific reasons behind the arrest remain undisclosed as of now.
Despite attempts to obtain clarification from the DSS through their spokesperson, Peter Afunnanya, Daily Post’s efforts were unsuccessful as calls went unanswered.
Auxilliary’s arrest marks a notable event occurring a decade after his previous arrest during the tenure of the late former governor Abiola Ajimobi. During Ajimobi’s administration in May 2014, Auxilliary, a figure once feared in Ibadan, the state’s capital, was detained. Subsequently, in 2016, he was convicted and served a prison sentence until his release towards the end of the government’s term in 2018.
