Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made an offer of €90 million plus €40 million in bonuses to Napoli for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. This offer values the total deal at €130 million. Reports suggest that PSG is leading the race for Osimhen, with Liverpool also showing interest and expected to make a bid soon. Napoli has indicated that they are willing to sell Osimhen for a starting price of €150 million. However, PSG’s offer falls slightly below this amount.
Osimhen, who is attracting attention from several top European clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal, signed a new contract with Napoli that ties him to the club until 2026. This new contract includes a release clause of €150 million. Despite his previous announcement that he would leave Napoli at the end of the season with his next destination already decided, there is currently uncertainty surrounding his future as no official announcement has been made.
If Osimhen were to move to PSG, he could potentially step in to fill the gap left by Kylian Mbappe, who is rumored to be joining Real Madrid in the summer. Osimhen previously performed well in Ligue 1 with Lille, scoring 13 goals in 27 matches in the 2019-2020 season before his move to Napoli. Since joining Napoli, Osimhen has been a key player for the team, scoring 64 goals in 105 appearances and helping them secure their first Serie A title in 33 years.
