A grave accident occurred in Jos as an employee of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) was tragically electrocuted while conducting repairs in the Abbatoir area of Jos South local government council.
The deceased, identified as Friday, met his untimely demise while endeavoring to rectify a fault, according to reports gathered by newsmen.
Sources within the vicinity revealed that Friday lost his life when electricity was unexpectedly restored to the high-tension pole he was working on, resulting in the fatal electrocution.
Expressing sorrow over the incident, a member of the Abbatoir community lamented the loss of Friday, describing him as a diligent and hardworking individual.
As of the time of this report, attempts to reach JEDC spokesman Dr. Elijah Adakole for comment were unsuccessful.
