Security Forces Successfully Rescue Two Kidnapped Women in Kebbi

In a collaborative effort, security forces comprising the Army, Police, DSS, Civil Defence Corps, and Vigilante have orchestrated the successful rescue of two abducted women in Maiyama and Suru Local Government Areas of Kebbi State.

The operation, directed by Governor Comrade Nasir Idris, was executed following intelligence regarding the abduction. AbdulRahman Usman, the Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, confirmed the rescue to the press.

Usman revealed that the security task force tracked the kidnappers from Giro forest to Boma, ultimately leading to Zugu Liba forest where the women were found unharmed. Faced with escalating pressure from the security team, the kidnappers fled, abandoning their captives.

The rescued women were subsequently handed over to Adamu Aliyu Liba, the Sole Administrator of Maiyama Local Government Area, and have since been reunited with their families.

Gratitude was expressed to Governor Nasir Idris for his swift response, which played a pivotal role in the operation’s success.
