The bodies of Access Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Wigwe, along with his wife and son, have been repatriated to Nigeria.
The Wigwe family’s remains were transported from the United States to Port Harcourt International Airport on Friday.
A funeral service for the deceased trio is scheduled to take place on Saturday in Isiokpo, Herbert Wigwe’s hometown, situated in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State.
Herbert Wigwe, his wife, their son, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), perished in a tragic helicopter crash at the border of Nevada and California in the US last month.
Since the fatal incident, an outpouring of tributes has flooded in for Herbert Wigwe, as mourners reflect on his legacy and contributions during his lifetime.
