Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage has reportedly filed a petition against fellow musician Davido for alleged threats of assault and bodily harm.
In the petition, dated January 9, 2024, Savage claims that Davido made a “direct threat” to her “rights to life, privacy and dignity.” She alleges that Davido threatened to “f-ck her up,” and that he has engaged in a pattern of “harassment, intimidation, and abuse.” Savage has requested the Lagos State Police Commissioner to take appropriate action to ensure her safety and security. Davido has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
“I am writing to bring to your attention a situation that is causing me distress. I, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, was involved in an online interaction with Mr. David Adeleke that turned hostile.
On December 23, I made a post on my Instagram story that included a photo of myself and Sophia Momodu. Mr. Adeleke responded by sending a message to my manager, who also happens to be part of his management team, threatening me and making disrespectful and malicious remarks about me.
I am deeply concerned about this situation and am requesting your assistance in ensuring my safety and security.”
“Since that day, I have been receiving calls from mutual connections, asking me what I did to upset Mr. Adeleke. Apparently, he is upset that I have chosen to maintain a relationship with Sophia Momodu, the mother of his daughter, Imade, despite their personal issues.
I want to make it clear that I have no involvement in their personal affairs and am simply choosing to maintain a cordial relationship with someone who is important to my daughter. I am making this complaint to ensure that the authorities are aware of the situation and to take any necessary steps to protect me and my family. I do not want to be
