New Speaker emerges in Plateau State Assembly

Gabriel Dewan has emerged as the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly following the resignation of the former Speaker of House, Moses Sule of the PDP and his deputy Gwottosn Dalyop Fom.

Dewan, is the only Lawmaker, representing the Young Progressive Party YPP, from Pankshin North Constituency.

During plenary, Hon Dewan gave assurance that he will use his office to reunite Plateau citizens over the lingering political tussle to in the state.

Addressing newsmen, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) Member representing Riyom Constituency Hon Timothy Dantong, a returning member was elected as the deputy.

The immediate past Speaker Rt Hon Moses Sule, member representing Mikang Constituency said he voluntarily resigned his position.

Sule explained that his resignation was in the interest of the entire State.

The new speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly is the youngest in the house at thirty years.
