Abducted Bayelsa INEC official regains freedom

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO), who was earlier abducted in Bayelsa, has regained his freedom.

The Head of Voter Education and Publicity (INEC) in Bayelsa State, Wilfred Ifogah, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen.

INEC had earlier reported the abduction of the SPO who was in charge of Registration Area 06 (Ossioma) in Sagbama LGA, Bayelsa.

There have also been alleged cases of violence, disruption, and vote-buying in the southern Ijaw and Sagbama Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State.
