Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Bassey has reacted as an Irish chef based in Japan, Alan Fisher, broke two Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Alan Fisher, an Irish restaurant owner and chef based in Japan, on Monday broke two Guinness World Records relating to cooking marathons.
Fisher cooked continuously for 119 hours 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 93 hours 11 minutes set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci earlier this year.
He also broke the record for the longest baking marathon, baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes, beating the prior record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
Reacting, Hilda Baci, on her X page, congratulated him.
She wrote, ”Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder.”
