Former Minister of Commerce, Bello Maitama is dead

Bello Maitama, a former Minister of Commence is dead.

Alhaji Bello Yusuf Maitama was a former senator from Kano and served in the Shagari government from 1979 to 1983. He passed away in the early hours of Friday.

Alhaji Hussaini Dalhatu, a family friend of the deceased’s family, informed Newsmen that the Sardauna Dutse burial prayer would take place at the Emir of Kano’s palace following Jumu’at prayer.

Bello Maitama Yusuf, born in Gwaram, Jigawa State in 1947 was also a former Minister of Interior in 1981.
