London, England — Arsenal forward Eberechi Eze has affirmed his commitment to giving his utmost for the Gunners this season.
After a highly anticipated transfer that saw Arsenal outbid Tottenham Hotspur in mid-August, Eze quickly made his mark by starting for England in their 2-0 win over Andorra at Villa Park in a 2026 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
In an interview with Independent, the England international expressed enthusiasm about representing Arsenal.
He also revealed he was never concerned about whether Arsenal would pursue him.
“Worried? No. Playing football is my focus. Wherever I am, I aim to be the best version of myself, and I’m confident I will achieve that wherever I go,” Eze said.
“I’m thankful it’s Arsenal and grateful for the chance to play there and demonstrate what I can do. I’m soaking up every moment because those moments come and go quickly.
“I found myself gazing at the crowd, taking in the atmosphere, and it was a special experience—especially seeing what it meant to my family. That’s what made it memorable for me.
“Now, I’m excited to step onto the pitch, work hard, focus, and perform. There’s been a lot of off-field noise, but my focus remains on playing.
“Not many get to experience moments like this, so I’m trying to cherish it and approach everything calmly because new challenges and opportunities always lie ahead,” he added.
