Abuja, Nigeria–The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, urging Nigerians to use the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth as a time for national reflection and renewal.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, the PDP emphasized that the teachings and virtues of the Holy Prophet should serve as a guide for both citizens and leaders in seeking divine direction and fostering unity across the country.
The party further called on the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government to take advantage of the spiritual significance of the season to reassess its governance strategies. It urged the administration to prioritize effective policies aimed at addressing insecurity and alleviating the economic hardship faced by Nigerians.
Additionally, the PDP stressed the importance of upholding democratic values, including respect for dissenting voices and the sovereign will of the people.
The party concluded by calling on Nigerians to embrace love, unity, and resilience, and to stand firm in their commitment to rebuilding the nation through democratic means.
