Lagos, Nigeria— The Nigerian Police Force has reportedly rescued popular TikTok content creator, Peller, who was abducted by unknown gunmen during a live broadcast on Wednesday.
The incident occurred while Peller was livestreaming on his way home. Viral clips circulating online captured the shocking moment he mistook his abductors for police officers before being forcefully taken away amid screams.
Friends and associates, including fellow content creator Tekunbi, rushed to the scene after the sudden interruption of his livestream. On arrival, they reportedly found only Peller’s vehicle and mobile phone abandoned at the spot, raising widespread concerns about his safety.
In a fresh update on Thursday morning, one of his colleagues, Sandra Benede, confirmed during a live video that Peller had been located. She disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) had seen him, although further details about the rescue operation had not yet been made public.
“They have seen him. The Police DPO have seen him o. They haven’t given details yet, but he has been found. Chudi said they’ve seen him,” Sandra assured during her broadcast.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Peller himself nor the Nigerian Police Force had released an official statement to confirm the circumstances of his rescue or provide additional updates.
The abduction and swift rescue of the entertainer have sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and fellow content creators expressing relief at the news of his safety.
