Kogi, Nigeria — The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has commended the Kogi State Government for its investment in primary healthcare centres across the state.
The Executive Director of NPHCDA, Dr. Muyi Aina, gave the commendation on Friday during a working visit to Lokoja, the state capital, where he met with National Health Fellows (NHF) and Performance and Financial Management Officers (PFMOs).
Aina acknowledged the state’s efforts and urged for continued support to strengthen healthcare delivery further.
“We appreciate the state government’s commitment to revitalising primary healthcare centres.
“This investment will significantly improve healthcare delivery and outcomes for the people of Kogi State,” he said.
During his visit to the revitalised Primary Healthcare Centre in Obuburu, Idanuha Ward, Adavi LGA, Aina expressed satisfaction with the progress made.

He also commended the contributions of health fellows and PFMOs in improving quality healthcare services.
Aina thanked President Bola Tinubu for the renewed health sector investment initiative, noting that it had created opportunities for young professionals to serve as Health Fellows and PFMOs.
He encouraged health workers to maximise the opportunity and make meaningful impacts within their communities.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adeiza Abdulazeez, welcomed the NPHCDA team, expressing optimism that the collaboration would further strengthen healthcare delivery in the state.
Similarly, the Executive Director of the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KSPHCDA), Dr. Musa Mu’azu, praised Governor Ahmed Ododo’s investment in primary healthcare and called for increased support from the federal government and partners.
Mu’azu emphasised that the NPHCDA’s engagement reflects its commitment to supporting states in improving primary healthcare systems nationwide.
