San Mamés, Bilbao — Jerome Adams provided an assist as Sevilla suffered a 3-2 loss to Athletico Bilbao in a closely contested LaLiga match on Sunday night.
Adams, named in the starting lineup by new Sevilla manager Matias Almeyda, set up Lucien Agoume for Sevilla’s second goal 18 minutes from the end. The former Flying Eagles striker played the full 90 minutes in the intense encounter at San Mamés.
His Nigerian compatriot, Chidera Ejuke, also featured in the game, coming on as a substitute for Stanis Idumbo in the second half.
Despite the defeat, Adams’ creative contribution stood out as Sevilla battled valiantly in the away fixture. Sevilla will next face Getafe in their league campaign on Monday, August 25.
