Ondo state, Nigeria –The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the death of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Kajola Police Station, located in Odigbo Local Government Area, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Nimrod Anaka.
The confirmation was given on Wednesday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Ayanlade Olushola, in a statement to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
“I can confirm that the DPO, Anaka, has passed away, but only medical experts can determine the actual cause of death. Further details, including his age and state of origin, will be released in due course,” Olushola said.
Reports indicate that the senior officer developed a sudden health complication and died while being rushed to a hospital for treatment on Tuesday.
The news of his passing has reportedly left officers and personnel at the Kajola Police Station in deep mourning.
