NIMC Gives Diaspora Partners 48-Hour Deadline for NIN Licence Upgrade

Abuja, NigeriaThe National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has given its diaspora National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment partners 48 hours to activate their licences on a newly upgraded platform aimed at delivering more secure and efficient services to Nigerians abroad.

In a statement on Monday, NIMC’s Head of Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke, said the upgraded system offers enhanced security and a smoother service experience. He noted that all Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have undergone intensive training to ensure they can effectively operate the new platform.

“While all diaspora FEPs must activate their NIN enrolment licences within the next 48 hours, applicants abroad can immediately access services from compliant partners,” Adegoke said, adding that a dedicated support team has been set up to resolve any issues during the transition.

He advised diaspora applicants facing difficulties to contact the Commission via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for prompt assistance.

According to NIMC, NIN enrolment continues uninterrupted across all centres in Nigeria, with details of nearby locations available on its website. Nigerians both at home and abroad can also modify their NIN data via the Commission’s online self-service portal and use the NINAuth app for instant verification, data control, and authentication services.
