Security is Key to Nigeria’s Development, Says Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar

Kebbi State, Nigeria Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) of the Nigerian Air Force, has emphasized that sustainable national development is unattainable without a secure environment.

During an operational assessment visit to Kebbi State, Air Marshal Abubakar reiterated the Nigerian Air Force’s steadfast commitment to protecting the lives and properties of Nigerian citizens. In a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Air Marshal highlighted the force’s resolve to locate, clear, and eliminate all criminal elements threatening the peace and security of law-abiding Nigerians.

“The nation must be secure for development to thrive. Protecting the lives and property of Nigerians remains a non-negotiable priority for the Nigerian Air Force,” he stated.

Given Kebbi’s strategic location bordering the Republics of Benin and Niger and its vast rural terrain, Abubakar stressed the need for heightened security vigilance. He assured that the Air Force would intensify intelligence gathering and reconnaissance operations across the state to sustain peace.

“What affects Kebbi affects the entire North-west, and by extension, the peace and stability of the nation,” he added.

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Mohammed Idris, expressed gratitude and commended the Nigerian Air Force along with other security agencies for their dedication and sacrifices amidst the complex security challenges plaguing the North-west. He credited their vigilance for the relative peace currently enjoyed in the state and pledged continued support for all security efforts.
