A tragic road accident occurred at the entrance of Ilupeju, a neighboring community of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) in Ekiti State, resulting in the loss of three lives. The accident involved a trailer and a motorbike and claimed the lives of two FUOYE students who were reportedly siblings from the same parents, along with the bike rider.
One of the students was identified as ‘Passion,’ according to a tweet from @Idris_Aloma, a student of FUOYE. The incident has deeply saddened the FUOYE community, coming shortly after the university had announced the tragic death of a year-two nursing student, Miss Modupe Deborah Atanda, who was previously reported missing and later found to have been gruesomely killed and buried within the school premises.
This accident adds to a series of unfortunate incidents affecting the FUOYE community, and the hearts of many go out to the families and friends of the victims as they mourn their loss.
