Istanbul, Turkey— Victor Osimhen has officially begun training with his new Galatasaray teammates following his record-breaking permanent transfer from Serie A champions Napoli.
The Nigerian striker joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on a €75 million deal and has signed a four-year contract starting from the 2025-2026 season. Osimhen played a pivotal role for Galatasaray last season while on loan, scoring an impressive 37 goals in 41 appearances and helping the club secure the domestic double.
Despite attracting interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, Osimhen chose to continue his journey under coach Okan Buruk in Istanbul. The 26-year-old forward is set to be officially presented to Galatasaray fans alongside fellow new signing Leroy Sané before the club’s pre-season friendly match against Serie A side Lazio at the Rams Park on Saturday.
Galatasaray aims to build on recent success with Osimhen as a central figure in their ambitions for domestic and European competitions in the upcoming season.
