Atlanta, United States — Global music superstar Beyoncé has suffered a significant security breach after hard drives containing unreleased material were stolen from her team’s vehicle during her Cowboy Carter World Tour stop in Atlanta.
The incident occurred on July 8, just days before Beyoncé was scheduled to perform in the city. According to a police report, the theft took place when choreographer Christopher Grant, a key member of Beyoncé’s tour crew, left a rental vehicle momentarily unattended. Upon return, he discovered the car’s rear window shattered and his luggage stolen.
Among the items reported missing were Apple MacBooks, luxury fashion items, headphones, and most critically, hard drives containing watermarked and unreleased music, behind-the-scenes performance footage, and set lists for both past and future shows.
“The drives contained sensitive creative materials, including unreleased songs and exclusive stage content,” Grant detailed in his statement to authorities.
The Atlanta Police Department has since confirmed that a suspect has been identified and a warrant issued, although the individual is still at large as of press time.
Beyoncé is currently leading her Cowboy Carter Tour, named after her 2025 Grammy-winning album. The tour, which commenced on April 28, is set to conclude on July 26.
While Beyoncé has not made a public statement on the matter, the breach raises renewed concerns about data security and content protection in the entertainment industry.
