Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Dies at 90

Ibadan, Nigeria — The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has passed away at the age of 90.

Sources confirmed to The PUNCH that the revered monarch died in the early hours of Monday, coinciding with events marking his 90th birthday and the first anniversary of his coronation.

Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne following the passing of his predecessor, Oba Lekan Balogun. His reign was marked by a commitment to preserving the cultural heritage and unity of Ibadanland.
