Tammy Abraham Seals €20m Transfer to Besiktas

Istanbul, TurkeyTammy Abraham is set to begin a new chapter in his football career as AS Roma finalizes a €20 million transfer deal with Turkish giants Besiktas, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

The move, confirmed earlier today, comes as Roma seeks to meet financial regulations, with the Serie A club aiming to generate at least €13 million before June 30 to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play guidelines.

In a statement reflecting the deal, Romano reported that Abraham has consented to join Besiktas, signaling his readiness to contribute to the club’s forward line ahead of the new season.

The 27-year-old forward spent the previous campaign on loan at AC Milan, where he registered a combined 10 goals and seven assists over 45 matches in all competitions. Despite these contributions, Milan, grappling with a challenging season, opted not to pursue a permanent transfer.

Originally signed by Roma in 2021 from Chelsea FC for €41 million, Abraham quickly made an impact but has recently seen limited opportunities, prompting his move away from the Italian capital.

The transfer marks a significant shift for both player and club, with Besiktas aiming to leverage Abraham’s experience and athleticism to strengthen their attacking options.
