Reinstated Eleruwa Vows Peace, Unity, and Town’s Growth

Eruwa, Oyo StateThe reinstated Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, has pledged to champion peace, unity, and sustainable development in the Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He made this pledge during his official coronation ceremony held at Eleruwa Stadium in Sango, following his reinstatement and presentation of the staff of office by Governor Seyi Makinde on March 6, 2025.

Oba Adegbola, who returned to the throne after a five-year interregnum caused by a Supreme Court ruling in 2019, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Makinde for what he described as the governor’s fairness, courage, and respect for due process in restoring his kingship.

“I pledge to lead with wisdom, compassion, and commitment to the peace and development of all Eruwa people,” the monarch said.

He emphasized his vision of inclusive leadership, promising to harness the strength of the youth while tapping into the wisdom of elders. Oba Adegbola assured his people that his reign would focus on fostering a more tolerant, civil, and compassionate society.

Highlighting his readiness to work closely with both state authorities and community stakeholders, the monarch reiterated the support of the Eleruwa-in-Council in articulating the collective aspirations of the people.

“Let it be known that where there is a legitimate expectation of peace and development, I will deploy all energies to make our domain a shining beacon of hope,” he added.

Addressing internal divisions, Oba Adegbola urged his subjects to rise above personal rivalries and unite for the greater good of Eruwa, stressing that social harmony is vital for long-term progress.
