Madrid , Nigeria— Nigeria international Rasheedat Ajibade has officially parted ways with Atletico Madrid Femenino, bringing an end to her successful stint with the Spanish side.
The 25-year-old forward played her final match for the club last weekend in a high-stakes encounter against Barcelona, marking the close of her chapter with the Liga F outfit.
Taking to her social media platforms, Ajibade expressed heartfelt gratitude to the fans, teammates, and club staff who supported her journey in Madrid.
“Last night’s result was a hard one to accept — definitely not the ending we envisioned,” she wrote. “But I genuinely feel that the team is on the verge of achieving something great. The growth over the seasons has been evident, and with the passion I’ve seen here, I believe the future is incredibly bright for this team.”
Ajibade arrived at Atletico Madrid in January 2021, making the move from Norwegian side Avaldsnes IL. During her time in Spain, the former FC Robo Queens standout lifted both the Copa de la Reina and the Supercopa de España, cementing her legacy at the club.
As she moves on to new challenges, the Super Falcons star leaves behind a legacy of resilience, flair, and silverware in the Spanish capital.
