Istanbul, Turkey — Spanish international and Galatasaray forward, Álvaro Morata, has called on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to commit his future to the Turkish giants amid growing transfer speculation.
Morata, who recently joined the Istanbul-based club, made the plea during an interview with Turkish sports outlet Sports Digitale, expressing his admiration for Osimhen’s talent and impact on the team.
“I’d be glad to see Osimhen continue here. If he stays, so will I,” Morata said with a smile.
Describing the Super Eagles star as “one of the finest centre forwards in global football,” Morata emphasized that Osimhen’s presence at Galatasaray has added significant value to the club’s attacking strength.
The Nigerian striker has been the subject of interest from several elite clubs across Europe, but Galatasaray remains hopeful of retaining his services.
“We’re building something special here. I’d love to lift the championship with him. Turkey is a wonderful country, and my family feels at home. I hope this journey continues,” the former Atlético Madrid star added.
Osimhen, known for his explosive pace and clinical finishing, has enjoyed a remarkable season and remains central to Galatasaray’s title ambitions.
The club’s management and supporters will be watching closely as the summer transfer window approaches, with many hoping Osimhen chooses to stay.
