List of 58 Deceased Nigerians with Unclaimed Assets in the UK Released

Nigeria, UK – The United Kingdom government  published a list of unclaimed estates belonging to 5,806 individuals, including 58 Nigerians who passed away in the UK.

The list, released on Monday, provides details such as names, dates and locations of death, marital status, and Bona Vacantia (BV) reference numbers. These unclaimed assets fall under the UK’s Bona Vacantia scheme, which applies to estates left without rightful heirs.

Among the Nigerians listed are Adenike Adebiyi, a spinster from Hackney, London, whose date of death is unknown (BV21003032/1), and Arbel Aai’Lotta’Qua Abouarh, a widower who died on February 5, 1998, in Chiswick, London (BV984930/1). Others include Akanni Jeremiah Adejumo, who passed away on March 31, 2017, in Muswell Hill, London (BV21711076/1), and Solomon Adekanmibi, who died on January 31, 2021, in Colchester, Essex (BV22207473/1).

The full list features individuals who passed away between 1995 and 2021, spanning various UK locations such as London, Birmingham, Leeds, and Derby. Families and potential heirs are encouraged to come forward to claim these estates.

For further details, the UK government provides official access to Bona Vacantia records for eligible claimants.
