Manchester, England — Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes securing a top-four finish this season would be a significant achievement for his squad.
City, currently fourth in the Premier League, have faced a challenging campaign marked by injuries to key players. Their recent Champions League play-off exit to Real Madrid further compounded their struggles.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash against Liverpool at the Etihad, Guardiola remained optimistic about his team’s chances of securing a Champions League spot.
“100% it would be a huge achievement,” Guardiola stated. “I always stay positive. We have three months ahead to fight for our place. It’s a challenge, but I believe we’ll do it.”
With City’s title defense looking uncertain, the focus now shifts to ensuring a strong finish in the league.
