Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government will commence the 2025 edition of the Ministerial Press Briefing tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the National Press Center, Abuja, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and accountability.
In adherence to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive, all ministers are expected to present a comprehensive review of their ministries’ policies, achievements, and ongoing programs.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, aims to enhance public engagement and foster trust in governance.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry’s Director of Press, Dr. Suleiman Haruna, the 2025 briefing series will begin with presentations from Mukhtar Maiha, Minister of Livestock Development, and Abubakar Momoh, Minister of Regional Development.
The Ministry has extended an invitation to journalists, stakeholders, and the general public to participate in these sessions, which seek to provide deeper insights into the government’s developmental strides.
Last year, President Tinubu mandated his ministers to deliver performance reports as part of activities marking his first year in office. The exercise serves as an evaluation of both successes and challenges across ministries, with the President emphasizing that ministerial positions will be retained strictly on merit, subject to quarterly reviews.
The 2025 press briefing will provide a platform for Nigerians to assess governance progress and policy implementation firsthand.
