Abuja, Nigeria — The Senate has announced a change in its resumption date, shifting the plenary session from January 28 to Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued in Abuja by the Clerk of the Senate, Andrew Nwoba. The statement, titled “Change in Resumption Date,” explained that the adjustment was necessitated by ongoing budget defence activities.
Lawmakers were informed that the plenary session would now resume on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 am prompt.
The postponement underscores the Senate’s commitment to ensuring thorough review and defence of the national budget before proceeding with other legislative matters.
