Atalanta, Italy — Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman, has been crowned the club’s Goal of the Month winner for December, according to newsmen
This marks the first time this season that Lookman has received the prestigious accolade.
The Nigerian international earned the award for his outstanding goal during Atalanta’s UEFA Champions League clash against defending champions, Real Madrid, on December 10. The spectacular strike captured the hearts of fans, securing the highest number of votes in an online poll conducted by the club.
Lookman garnered an impressive 46% of the votes, outperforming Belgium’s Charles De Ketelaere, who claimed second place with 38%. Tommaso Del Lungo and Andrea Bonanomi finished third and fourth, respectively.
The 27-year-old winger also reached a significant milestone this week, making his 100th appearance for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side during Monday’s Serie A encounter, which ended in a 1-1 draw against Juventus.
Atalanta fans continue to celebrate Lookman’s incredible contributions, as he solidifies his reputation as a key player for the club.
