Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria — The Kebbi State Government has unveiled plans to construct a modern Government Reservation Area (GRA) in Kawara village, southeast of the state capital.
The initiative was announced following a site inspection led by Governor Nasir Idris, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Lands and Housing and the Secretary to the State Government.
According to TPL Abubakar Ahmed, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Lands and Housing, the proposed GRA will serve as a catalyst for urban expansion, enhance the state’s housing sector, and boost revenue generation.
Speaking during the site visit, Governor Idris expressed satisfaction with the Ministry’s forward-thinking approach. He stated, “This project reflects our commitment to providing infrastructure that will meet the needs of future generations.”
The GRA project, which awaits final government approval for the award of construction contracts, is expected to complement efforts to modernize the state capital and provide quality housing for residents.
The statement concluded with a reiteration of the government’s dedication to fostering infrastructural growth and sustainable development in Kebbi State.
