Ihiala, Anambra State — Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced a ₦10 million reward for information leading to the capture of each suspect involved in last Monday’s attack.
The tragic incident occurred during a burial ceremony, claiming seven lives, including two security operatives. The assailants, who unleashed gunfire on mourners, targeted security personnel near the Local Government Headquarters as they fled, leaving the community in fear.
During his visit to Ihiala to commiserate with grieving families, Governor Soludo expressed deep sorrow over the attack and pledged his administration’s commitment to ensuring justice.
“We will not rest until the perpetrators of this heinous crime are apprehended,” the governor declared. “They will all pay for it.”
Governor Soludo also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to safeguarding residents and maintaining security across Anambra State.
The bounty underscores the government’s resolve to tackle insecurity while restoring hope and confidence among its citizens shaken by the incident.
